About me

Outside of school and engineering

I'm a mechanical and mechatronics engineering student at UBC. Here's what I spend the rest of my time on.

01 — Sports

Volleyball and hockey

I played volleyball and hockey competitively for 13 years. Between practices, games and tournaments it took up most of my time outside of school.

  • CMHA scholarship
  • PCAHA tournament scholarship
  • BC Hockey scholarship
  • BC Athlete of the Month
  • 2nd at Volleyball Canada nationals

02 — Terry Fox

Terry Fox Run

I've helped organize my community's Terry Fox Run since 2020. That means recruiting volunteers from my high school, getting local sponsors, and planning the route with the city. I also ran merch and food fundraisers through the year, not just on race day.

  • Organizing volunteers and fundraisers since 2020
  • Merch and food fundraisers run year round
  • Sponsors, route planning and race-day operations
  • Over $50,000 raised for cancer research

03 — Acting

Acting

I acted from the age of eight through my teens, on live-action and animated productions with companies like Netflix, Disney, CBC and Amazon Prime.

04 — Outdoors

Outdoors

I snowboard in the winter, surf and paddle board on the coast, and hike the North Shore and Sea-to-Sky the rest of the year. The best hiking I've done was in the Dolomites in Italy.

Hiking in the BC mountains
Snowboarding at sunset above the clouds
Hiking a forest service road with packs
Surfing
Hiking a misty alpine trail in the Dolomites

That's the whole story

If any of it resonated — or you just want to talk about engineering, sports, or something you're building — I'd love to hear from you.
